Scope:
Rheology is an interdisciplinary research area in the field of material science, and its importance has been growing rapidly because of scientific/industrial development of various kinds of materials. For the rheological research in the next generation, we absolutely need young active rheologists who can flexibly make an international and/or inter-institute collaboration on a basis of their friendship.

The International Workshop for Far East Asian Young Rheologists (IWFEAYR) was organized for providing the Far East Asian young rheologists with an opportunity of starting this collaboration. This is a quite informal workshop, and its basic idea is to highly encourage the young researchers to communicate/discuss/interact under a friendly and informal atmosphere. The attending professors just help the young researchers.

The first IWFEAYR was successfully organized in Seoul, Korea, in February 9-11, 2006. Following this success, the second IWFEAYR is organized in Kyoto, Japan, in the period of January 26-28, 2007. The young researchers willing to start-up his/her future collaboration as well as professors wishing to help it are highly welcome to join the workshop.
